Meetings done for summer(?), Campout Pictures
As far as I know, our troop meetings are done for this summer with the exception of trip-preparation meetings. Leaders, please add these meetings into the calendar when you know about them. I also have added Greg Carlson's Seela Campout pictures (available exclusively: ...here). Better late than never!

"Trip" Meeting this Thursday, Be There to Confirm Your Physical Presence on the Trip
This coming Thursday, June 2nd, if you are going on the Trip to Wyoming, you need to confirm with Doug that you if you are going on the trip so that he can get a final count and send in the trip application. And as for other news...well, I don't have any. Trevor and Adam are both working on setting up Eagle ceremonies, and I have just turned in my application (the first time). If you have noticed, I also updated the "Regresar a las Montaņas" feature. Enjoy.

Court of Honor This Week
Sorry for the lack of updates. Thank you to whoever put the Court of Honor on the Calendar! I hope you all know how to use it (or at least view it) so that you can do the same. Email me or feedback if you need help. That's right - a Court of Honor at its regular time at Trinity Lutheran Church. That's about it - bye.

Fundraiser, Campout
Now that I've finally made it to a meeting for the first time in at least a month, I can 'officially' update the website. This coming Saturday (the 30th) we will be selling beefburgers in the Stratford City Park. From there we will be going to Doug's house and camping there Saturday night. We will hopefully get some hiking and mushroom hunting done, as well as some advancements for the younger Scouts. Check out the new, improved Calendar to find the times. If you can't remember the password to put in the password box, submit a feedback form for a missing password and I will get it to you as soon as possible. It is the same as it has always been. That's pretty much all for now. I hope I see you sometime, Tracy Wehrhan, so that I can do an Eagle-Scoutmaster Conference. Glad I got that off of my chest.

NO MEETING THIS THURSDAY
Thanks for writing in (calendar and submitting news) everybody. This Thursday, April 7th, we will have no meeting due to lack of adult leaders and people. If you have nothing else to do, why not come and check out Trevor and I play our awesome, I rating-earning duet at the Stratford Lutheran Church!
Greg, I will probably be able to get pictures from my mom and I will probably have them on the site sometime. That is all for now - anyone who comes to the meeting after not coming last week or not looking at the website...well I'm going to laugh at you. A lot.

The Newness is Blinding Me (no puedo ver nada)
Here's something new for you - you can now post anything you need to without having to use your own email (yes, I know, that last system had no point to it). Both in submit news and submit feedback, just type whatever you want and click on submit. Then you need to do something different, which is explained in both pages. Thanks for your cooperation.
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! LOOK HERE! The password to view the new calendar is the same one you use to enter the Members Only area on the web site. Don't worry about entering a username, just a password. If you forgot what the password is, just use the Feedback Form. Good luck. I've had it so far!
Also - I have now made a chatroom for our Troop 511 Website. Just click on the link(s) in the menu(s). Good luck finding someone else on at the same time. Feedback with questions.

Come on, work with me here...
I have now added an Interactive Calendar. I know, I know, I've said this before, but this one will work. It is currently linked right to the Calendar Links. I will *hopefully* put up a little tutorial about the calendar when I get to know it a little better. But everyone should be able to post anything, (please do), and maybe I will be able to password protect the entire calendar to keep you crazy lunatic child-nappers out - yes I'm talking to you!
In other news, on Saturday, April 2nd, people who need service hours can help pick up Scouting for Food cans around Webster City. I would guess meet at the church at 9:30am.
UPDATE: Well it looks like that information is kind of old. Sorry for the delay, but I guess that my computer decided to take a dump on me - FTP style. I switched to my Homer-Built rig and it works fine. Thanks to wmtel.net support for helping me. I wasn't at our last meeting because I had a Jazz Band concert, so I don't know much. KEEP POSTING ON THAT CALENDAR!!!

Pinewood Derby and upcoming Campout
As far as I know, our next meeting (March 17) will be at the Stratford School. We will be helping out with the Cub Scouts' Pinewood Derby. (7:00pm?). Also, this coming weekend (Saturday, March 19th) we will be having a campout at the Briggs Woods Barn if Devin has made reservations. If not, we will have to schedule something some other time. Make sure to attend the next meeting for the final decision on this. That's pretty much all for now I suppose.
UPDATE: Devin has indeed made the reservations for the Barn. Check out the details in the Member's Section.

(2nd try) Easier Site Address, Calendario Nuevo, and important meeting locations
First of all, I will say that I am trying another domain redirector, ne1.net, for a easier address to remember. The last time that I tried this with a different company they backed out on me. So for the new address: "http://www.troop511.r8.org". I will try to spread the new address at our next two events, so pay attention.
Next order of business, I will have updated the calendar by the time you have read this. This will include (some) of this month's events as there are many. Some important ones are next Thursday, the 17th, we are meeting at Stratford Elementary School for the Blue and Gold Banquet. Be there at 6:30 for the potluck (bring a dish!) or 7:00 for the ceremony. Then, a week later - Thursday the 24th, is our next Court of Honor. It's at 7:00 but Scouts should try to be there ten or twenty minutes early to get ready. ALSO - and the most important of all - the Troop 511 Promotional Video 2005 will be premiering at the Blue and Gold Banquet and also at the Court of Honor. As most of you know, we made this video solely on the footage at 7B Ranch and on Josh Larson's amazing computer. Doug, if you're not planning on bringing your computer to the B+G Banquet, tell me because I can just as easily use my dad's. Thanks - that's all for now.

Fun Night Next Thursday, Dates
Sorry for the long wait for new updates - next Thursday we will be having a fun night at Fuller Hall at 6:00pm. I have updated the Calendar Page for the month of December and have started January. No Meeting Thursday (Thanksgiving)
Thanks to Matt for sending a submission that reminded me to update the site - there will be no meeting this coming Thursday, November 25th, because of Thanksgiving. Enjoy the break! Also - congratulations to the troop for beating last year's sales in pies. More pie money will help everyone for future trips. It's great that we have a tradition of delivering our pies unlike *other* troops because people are grateful for that.

More Campout Info, Webelos
I have found out more information about the campout coming up the 13th (which, to my surprise, happens to be a Saturday). Check it out down yonder at the Member's Section. Also, Cole and John need to contact the Stratford and Webster City Webelos II scouts to get them to come to our campout. Talk to other members so we can get a group together to go down to their meeting on Monday night at 7:00pm.
Also, if you haven't noticed, you can now access the site in a more simple and fast way by typing http://troop511.zor.org instead of having to type 'http://myspace.wmtel.net/larhomer_ftp/' everytime you want to visit the site. This is just a simple redirect courtesy of Has.It.
UPDATE: I guess not. Maybe Has.It isn't so reliable after all. Oh well, we can put up with the super-long address of this site for a while, can't we?

Campout, Court of Honor Planned
At our last meeting we planned a campout for November 13th and 14th, to find details head over to the member page. We are also planning a Court of Honor the following Thursday of the campout (the 18th). Write down those dates! (Oh yeah, go see the play "I Remember Mama" starring Brad Smith and Trevor Seela!)

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWEST EAGLE SCOUT
Kenyon Scott became our newest Eagle Scout this past Sunday, October 24th. Everyone else needs to keep working on advancements so we can all be Eagle Scouts eventually. I don't have much news, just to keep coming to the meetings on Thursday nights. That's all.

Pie turn in, Kenyon Scott
Remember, pie sheet turn in is tomorrow night at the meeting. If you can't attend (like me), please get the pie sheets to Mark or Kenyon in anyway possible that night. Also, tomorrow night's meeting is also going to be a run-thru of Kenyon's Eagle Scout Ceremony. The ceremony is this coming Sunday - check the member's section for details. That's all for now.
