Back to the MountainsHere's a trip you absolutely cannot pass up. Back when I was in 6th grade, the BSA Troop 511 took a trip down to Wyoming, to the Bighorn Mountains. We saw waterfalls, climbed through endless caves, and did tons of fun things that I won't forget. Now I get to do it all over again. UPDATE 5/1/05: I guess not. Football Camp was *ironically* placed on the same EXACT week as our Scout Trip. I really wish that I could take this "once in a lifetime" trip again, but sadly I won't. I'd just want to thank the Seelas for all that they have done for our Scout trips these last years.
That's right - thanks to the Seelas once again, we are planning another trip down to Wyoming, to the Bighorn Mountains. Plans aren't quite set yet, but we have some definite possiblities. Once again, another update: The Seelas have started to set some plans solidly.
We are going to stay in the same place as last time -- the Bear Lodge (behind the cabins in tents). The boys will be sleeping in the tents, the adults in two cabins. There is a hotel nearby for adults to sleep in if they wish, at their own cost. We are also planning to take another trip down the Tongue River Cave. Waterfalls will be a bigger part of our trip this year, also, because we are planning pretty much a separate day for them. Oh no -- it's not going to be a boring trip. This trip will probably be one of the most memorable experiences in your Scouting career, and it is a somewhat stressful but exciting trip. Go! I would if I could! Everyone else, if you have more information I would gladly add it to this article. Any thoughts or memories of the last trip would be appreciated so I can fill up this empty space. Submit Information about the Trip!->>>In the mean time: Check out photos from the last trip. Es todo. |
